Terms of service

Version 1.0 · effective 2026-08-28 · provider: [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], org.nr [ORG NUMBER], [ADDRESS] — contact: [CONTACT EMAIL]

1. The service

Ultimate QC is an independent well-survey quality-control and monitoring service: it receives well data (surveys, trajectories, continuous channels), verifies it, compares it against plans and offset wells, and surfaces the results — live dashboards, alerts, reports, and calculation tools. Access to well data requires an account issued under a service agreement; the free tools on this site (such as the sag check) are provided for evaluation.

2. The one clause that matters most

Ultimate QC is advisory. It does not steer wells and does not make drilling decisions. All outputs — separation factors, alarms, corrections, advisories, projections — are computed from the data supplied to the service and inherit that data's quality. They support, and never replace, the judgment of the operator's qualified personnel and the operator's own anti-collision and well-control procedures. Responsibility for drilling operations, including the decision to drill ahead, stop, or sidetrack, remains at all times with the operator.

3. Accounts

4. Customer data

5. Acceptable use

No attempts to breach other accounts' data, probe or overload the service, or use the free tools in automated bulk. Security findings are welcome at [CONTACT EMAIL] — good-faith research is not a violation.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for continuous operation but the service is provided "as available" unless a service agreement states an SLA. Features may evolve; material changes to these terms are announced on this page with a new version and date.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by Norwegian law, and except where a signed service agreement states otherwise: the service is provided without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose; liability is limited to direct documented loss and capped at the fees paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim; no liability is accepted for consequential loss, loss of production, or decisions taken contrary to section 2.

8. Law and venue

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Legal venue is the provider's registered venue in Norway, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
